AppSync 4.1 for Jailbroken iOS 4.1 Devices

AppSync has been updated so that it can be used with the new iOS 4.1 firmware. For those of you who don’t know, AppSync patches MobileInstallation file on iOS which is needed in order to install .ipa files manually without using iTunes.

Keeping the current Jailbreaking scenario in mind, official tools for jailbreaking new iOS based devices on firmware iOS 4.1 aren’t available yet, but we have reports that the Jailbreak will beout soon for iPhone 4 running iOS 4.1, the new iPod touch 4G and the iPad. The devices which are jailbreakable at the moment running on iOS 4.1 are the iPod touch 2G (non MC model),iPhone 3GS (old bootrom) and the iPhone 3G. But when the jailbreak for iOS 4.1 is out for all devices, this guide will be applicable to other devices too.

Before you carry on with the installation of AppSync 4.1, make sure you have a jailbroken iPhone/iPod touch. Instructions for jailbreaking iPhone 3GS (old bootrom) running iOS 4.1 can be found here, for the iPod touch 2G (non MC model) can be found here and for the iPhone 3G can be found here. Once you’re done jailbreaking your iPhone or iPod touch, follow the guide posted below to get AppSync 4.1 on your iOS device.

There are have been a lot of requests on how to unlock iPhone's that do not have working WIFI. There have been a few other tutorials similar to this but often people find them very unclear and hard to work with. I will do my best to make this as simple as possible.
First of all, there are a few things we need to clear up. For this tutorial we will be using Ultrasn0w 1.2.5, this means it will be compatible with the following basebands: iPhone 4 01.59.00, iPhone 3G/3GS 05.11.01, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and 06.15.00.
